Ka, Kha, Ga...

Welcome to the first worksheet, your first step to learning how to read/write Nepali!

You can't really read a language first without knowing its backbone, its alphabet!"

Unlike the 26 letters of the English alphabet, the Nepali Alphabet has 36 consonants, and 12 vowels. Each letter accounts toward a specific sound, and it's just like putting the puzzle together!

We are so excited that you have joined us for our first chapter of Nemaste. For this chapter, we have linked booklets of the Nepali Alphabet dictionary for you to get familiarized with the Alphabet. We would like you to focus on remembering the first 18 consonants in the Nepali alphabet for this lesson while using the worksheets for you to print and write them down.

It is important to realize that everyone takes their own unique time to learn, so take as long as you need - learn at your own pace!
