One, Two, Three, Four, Five...

There is always an unlucky number in all cultures. In Canada, we learned that number 13 was unlucky! Although we tell people that we live on the 14th floor, it slips our mind that there is no floor 13 after floor 12 in our apartment - so does that mean we can remove the presence of "unluckiness" by removing the meaning, or the number? Anyway, that’s some other food for thought.
In Nepal, or at least from the way we were brought up, the unlucky number is 7.
One time, when I was making breakfast for my aji (my grandmother), I set aside just randomly, 7 tea biscuits next to her tea. I felt that eight was too many so I kept 7, and I could just never forget the horror in my mom’s face when I was about to give my aji the breakfast.
“Don't ask why, but never 7 of anything anywhere!”
Anyway, we hope that while you are studying this week for number 1-20, you find them all very happy because in the end, numbers are just numbers, they make your life easier to count and each of them is special and unique!
